About Us
Keely Fine Foods was named on behalf of our daughter. Deployed to Baghdad, Iraq in November 2005 as a Military Police Officer, our daughter's tour of duty concluded in November of 2006 and she returned home to the states safe and sound. In honor of her service to the United States Army, we have proudly given our specialty food company her name. Welcome home Ms. Keely!
Mike and I settled into the beautiful Eagle Valley in 1990 with our two children then ages five and six. Seventeen years later our family has expanded to include our wonderful daughter in-law Callie and our beautiful grandson Braydon, compliments of our son Garrett.
In early 2006, on one of my many days spent contemplating our future, our empty nest, our soldier daughter, life in my forties and the grandson that was to be born in March, I thought, where had the time gone? What's next? Where do we go from here? What's the plan? I was restless and had an urge to confront something new. It was obvious, our lives were changing; we were entering a new chapter and I needed a challenge.
That day a friend handed me a gourmet food catalog from Spain. I carefully looked through it. With every turn of a page, I became more and more captivated. My imagination shifted into high gear. For years I had considered my own restaurant, food franchises, sandwich shop, ice cream shop, candy store, you name it, if it had to do with food, I had considered it. Then along came the food network and the explosive popularity of food shows, an endless array of talented chefs not only creating gourmet dishes but introducing us to specialty products, and exotic ingredients, from around the world. Food had become even more exciting. Eureka...I became inspired! That day, Keely Fine Foods was conceived and specialty foods became our future.
